Abstract

Laois County Council is a government administrative body that oversees the public services for the people of Laois County, Ireland. It relies heavily on IT to carry out day-to-day activities and enhance amenities across the county. However, the lack of modern IT infrastructure that could effectively serve its distributed workforce prevented it from achieving operational excellence.

When the IT team found itself overwhelmed with incoming service request calls and emails, and with no proper tool to track and manage these tickets, the Council decided to implement ServiceDesk Plus, its first tool from ManageEngine. The solution knocked out all the county's service request challenges and quickly earned the Council's trust.
