Configure SMS (Text Message) Server

This section is applicable to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition [Central Server and Probes] and the MSP Edition [Central Server and Probes].

Note: The term "SMS" appearing throughout this document refers to "Text message".

You may send SMS alert notifications via a modem to a mobile device.

The following modem is supported:

The configuration steps are given below:

Connect your GSM Modem to the 'Serial / USB Communication Port'

To configure SMS server in IT360, follow the steps given below:

Go to Admin - General - SMS Server Settings
Enter the Port Number to which Modem is connected: for example - COM3 [to find the Port Number, right-click on My Computer and select 'Properties'.Go to Hardware -> Device Manager -> Modems -> Select the applicable modem -> Right Click -> Select Properties -> Click on the Modem tab. You now see the port number].
