This section is common to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition (Probes only) and MSP Edition (Probes only).
You can import a set of IP addresses for discovery from a csv file. The CSV Import can be done for the following monitor types:
Network / Server
Login to IT360 console with the Username and Password of an Admin user.
Click the Admin tab in the header pane.
Click Discover/Add under Discovery.
Choose the option Import from CSV file from the Discover/Add type dropdown.
[This step is applicable only for MSP edition, else directly go to step: 2] Choose Customer/Site. In order to select the Customer/Site, you should have Added the Customer/Site.
Customer Name: Choose the name of the Customer, whose devices need to be discovered.
Create a csv file (as shown in the below figure) with details such as, Name/ IPAddress of the device, DisplayName and DevicType. Enter the following details in the respective fields;
File location: Click on the Choose File button and select the CSV file, from which you want the devices to be discovered and imported.
View: Click this button to view the CSV file columns. Refer the screenshots below.
Select the Device Name/IP, Display Name and Device Type in the Configure fields from CSV file window and click OK.
Netmask: Select the correct netmask.
Select appropriate 'Credentials to use' required for the device. To do this, you should have previously configured the credentials, else add a new credential by clicking Add Credential.
|Note: Credentials are required for collecting data for various parameters through SNMP, WMI/Windows, or Telnet/SSH protocols. When you choose all credentials by checking 'Select All', the appropriate credentials for the device will be detected automatically and get mapped to the device.|
- Click on Import Devices, to add the required devices for monitoring.
Click on Finish, once the devices are added under IT360's Networks module, to complete the process and go to the 'Admin' page.
Else, if you want to discover some more devices, then click 'Discover More' and you will be taken back to the 'Discover Devices' page, where you can once again repeat the process.
