This section is common to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition (Both Central & Probes), and MSP Edition (Both Central & Probes).
Here, is explained the Global settings that can be made in the Application module of IT360. To access Global Settings, do the following;
Go to 'Admin -> Servers & Applications -> Global settings'. [In the case of Professional edition, and Enterprise & MSP editions (Probe)].
Go to 'Admin -> Central Settings -> Global settings'. [In the case of Enterprise & MSP editions (Central)].
By selecting this option, you can always have all the advanced options, expanded by default, in the "Configure Alerts" and "New Threshold" screens.
By default, while configuring Actions at attribute level, only the 'Critical' severity actions can be associated with the Health of the attribute. Associations of 'Warning' and 'Clear' severities actions are hidden.
Likewise, by default, while creating new Thresholds, only the 'Critical' threshold is set. 'Warning' and 'Clear' thresholds are hidden. This is to aid the customers, who require only the critical configurations and may not be interested in fine-grained configuration of Thresholds & Alerts.
By default, when you associate a Monitor (Service or Server, running in a particular host) with a Business Service, the host (in which the Monitor runs) is also associated with the Business Service. If you do not require the host to be associated with the Business Service, deselect this option.
Note: This host will be monitored only if you have provided the required configuration information.
While adding a Service as a Monitor, by selecting this option, the host, on which the service runs will also be added.
By selecting this option, you can restart IT360 automatically, incase of any serious Server error, such as out-of-memory error.
Note: This host will be monitored, only if you have provided the required configuration information.
| Note: In the case of Enterprise & MSP editions (Central), only 2 & 4 of the above Global Setting options will be availaible. |
