This section is common to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition [Probes only] and MSP Edition [Probes only].
| Note: In the case of Enterprise Edition [Central] and MSP Edition [Central], it is possible to Associate Actions, but not Thresholds. |
The next step, after creating the thresholds and actions, is to associate them with the appropriate attributes of Monitor, for generation of alarms.
Follow the steps given below to associate a threshold and an action with an attribute;
Click on the My Dashboard tab.
Click the Business Service View link. This lists the Monitors in it.
Click the Monitor, whose attributes, threshold, and actions must be associated.

To associate a threshold, select the required threshold
from the Associate Threshold
combo box. If no threshold is
configured, select New Threshold Profile from the combo box. To know more about Creating a new Threshold Profile, click here.
Note: By selecting 'Apply to selected monitors', the
threshold for this attribute is applied to the selected monitors.
To associate action, do the following;
Enable the Configure actions at Attribute level checkbox.
Select the action(s), you want to perform, from the Available actions list box, and move them to the Associated Actions list box, for each Severity (Critical, Warning and Clear).
If no action is configured, click on the Actions link. It takes you to the Create Action page, where you can configure the action.
Click on Save. The alarm, configured, will be saved.
Notes:
You can also associate threshold and actions from Global Alarm Configuration screen.
The threshold and / or actions are now associated with the attribute. Based on this, alarm will be generated and action will be performed for that attribute.
Thresholds are configured and associated to attributes. You cannot associate threshold with attributes such as Availability and Health. Also in case of health, you must configure dependencies to generate alarms.
You also have an option to delete/ remove the above configurations, by using the Remove Configuration option. This will remove all the configurations and alarms.
Note: The Remove Configuration button will be shown, only after you Save your configuration.
