This section is common to all the editions of IT360, as per the below constraints;
Professional Edition
Enterprise Edition [Applicable to Probes only, and not applicable / relevant to the Central Server, since the configuration of the monitors happens only at the Probe level. However, you may see these discovered monitors from the Central Server]
MSP Edition [Applicable to Probes only, and not applicable / relevant to the Central Server, since the configuration of the monitors happens only at the Probe level. However, you may see these discovered monitors from the Central Server]
To create a new Amazon monitor, follow the steps given below;
Go to 'Admin -> Servers & Applications -> Monitors and Configurations', click on New Monitor link.
From the Add Monitor of type drop down list, select Amazon under Cloud Apps category.
Specify the Display Name of the Amazon server
Enter the Access Key Id of the AWS, for accessing the AWS through the API. The access key has 20 alpha-numeric characters.
Enter the Secret Access Key of the AWS. The secret key should be 40 alpha-numeric characters long.
Specify the Polling Interval, in minutes.
Choose the Grouping, to which you want to associate the Cloud Applications, from the combo box;
In the case of Professional Edition, it is Business Service [optional]
In the case of Enterprise Edition - Probe, it is Business Service [optional]
In the case of MSP Edition - Probe, it is Customer and Site [mandatory]
Note: Before creating a new Amazon monitor, you have to Configure proxy settings under 'Admin' tab. |
