Device Snapshot

This section is common to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition (Both Central & Probes) and MSP Edition (Both Central & Probes).

IT360's Device Snapshot shows the device`s health and that of its resources, at a glance.

Steps to View the Device Snapshot Page

  1. Follow the steps below;
Note: In the case of MSP edition, first select the Customer from the Customers drop down list and then proceed with the below steps.
    1. Click the Networks tab.

    2. In the Device Summary section, click on the required Device Type link, among the list of device types displayed.

    3. From the list of specific devices displayed, click on the link of that specific device, whose Device Snapshot page, is to be viewed.

  1. The Snapshot page of the selected device is shown as below.

  1. Just type in the Name / IP Address of the device in the Device Search box and hit Go.

Description of Device Snapshot Page

The below are the different sections available in the Device Snapshot page;

  1. Device Details: Displays the system's details, such as the IP address, Vendor, Category, etc (Refer the 2nd screenshot above).

Note: System description is seen on the SNMP-enabled devices.

  1. Device Notes: This tab shows the additional device details. Click on the icon, to add Device notes in the available fields. You can click on the Add More Details link, which opens the CustomFieldsForm, where you can add additional fields to denote the device details.

  1. Tools: The following actions can be done by clicking the respective icon:

  1. Today's Availability: Displays the device availability of the current day in the form of a pie graph. You can also view the availability report for the past 7 days or 30 days, respectively. Click on the pie graph, to view the detailed Availablility report in a pop-up window, as shown below;


  1. Response Time: Shows the current response time of the device. You can also view the availability report for the past 7 days or 30 days, respectively. It is also possible to configure response-time, based thresholds.

  2. Today`s Packet Loss: Shows the packet loss percentage for the device, on the current day. By default, IT360 sends 1 ping packet during a poll. The ping counts, retries, timeout, etc, are configurable in the file /conf / Ping.properties.

  3. CPU Utilization: Shows the current CPU load of the device. Clicking on the graph shows the trend chart of CPU utilization.

  4. UPS Load: Shows the current UPS oad of the device. Clicking on the graph shows the trend chart of UPS utilization.

  5. UPS Status: Shows the current UPS status information of the device.

  6. Memory Utilization: Displays the current memory utilization of the device.

  7. Backplane Utilization: Displays the current memory utilization of the device.

Note: The above sections, displayed in the Device Snapshot page, can vary depending on the device chosen, e.g. CPU Utilization is displayed instead of UPS Load/UPS Status, and vice-versa.

  1. Monitors: This tab lists different monitors for the device.

  2. Note: Click on the Test Monitor button and you can view the test results in a pop-up window.

  3. Notification Profiles: This tab lists the notification profiles associated to the device. You can add more profiles from here.
  4. Interfaces: Displays the list of interfaces in the selected device, with their status and other details. Click on the Display Name or Description link, to view its availability and graphs on traffic and bandwidth utilization.
