ManageEngine Adds "IPFIX with Extensions" to Firewall Analyzer
Latest Release Also Includes Dedicated Compliance Section, User-group VPN Reports, Application Reports for More Firewalls
PLEASANTON, Calif. - July 31, 2012 — ManageEngine, the real-time IT management company, today announced the immediate availability of "IPFIX with extensions" in its firewall log and configuration monitoring software, Firewall Analyzer. The 'Best of Interop 2012' security category finalist, Firewall Analyzer also gains user-group VPN reports, application reports for Check Point and SonicWALL, and a dedicated compliance section for monitoring firewall rules and change management.
IP Flow Information Export (IPFIX) is the NetFlow standard that is vendor neutral. With increasing adoption of IPFIX in Enterprise IT organizations, Firewall Analyzer now supports 'IPFIX with extensions' flow reporting for SonicWALL firewalls running SonicOS 5.8.x. 'IPFIX with extensions' supports both static and dynamic flows and provides unparalleled insight into application traffic analysis, bandwidth monitoring, threat detection, user activity tracking, VPN usage, and more.
"IPFIX offers scalability, less network overhead, better correlation and quicker query responses, which makes it a better alternative to syslogs," said Pravin Kumar, product manager, ManageEngine. "Firewall Analyzer 7.4 now helps SMEs to further unlock the real value of their network security devices by supporting standards like IPFIX."
Firewall Analyzer is agent-less log analytics and configuration management software for network security devices.
