PLEASANTON, Calif. - February 22, 2013 - ManageEngine the real-time IT management company, today announced the launch of PingTool for iPhone, the free iPhone native app for server monitoring. With PingTool for iPhone, administrators can now manage the availability of critical IT devices from an iPhone. Users can download PingTool for iPhone for free at http://ow.ly/h0eiP.

With smartphone adoption gaining ground among IT management professionals, demand is growing for a basic tool to keep tabs on the health of key network resources while on the go. PingTool for iPhone meets this demand by enabling IT staff to check the availability of critical servers and empowering IT to perform first-level troubleshooting tasks from their iPhones.

"Considering the influence mobile is having on network management, it is only fair that the industry equips its IT force with utilities that let them manage their network from anywhere," said Shailesh Kumar Davey, vice president of engineering at ManageEngine. "The PingTool for iPhone is our latest contribution to that goal. The fact that this tool, like our other free tools, is fully functional and available at absolutely no cost makes it all the more compelling for users."

  • Monitor the availability of servers, routers, other network devices and websites
  • Gain visibility on the trip time for ping packets and on the health of the hosts monitored
  • Monitor five hosts simultaneously

  • Monitor the response time of critical websites

PingTool for iPhone is the latest addition to the ManageEngine suite of more than 20 free IT management tools.
