Instructions to Apply Hotfix

1. Shut down Desktop Central. (either through Start --> Programs -->ManageEngine Desktop Central--> Stop Desktop Central or Right click Desktop Central logo on the Notification area of Task bar and click Shut down Server)
2. Important: Take a backup of the Desktop Central installation directory (<Install_Dir>/DesktopCentral_Server) to avoid any data loss during the upgrade process.
3. Execute the UpdateManager.bat file present in the <Desktop Central_Home>/bin directory.
4. Click "Browse" and select the.ppm file that you have downloaded.
5. Click "Install" to install the service pack. This may take few minutes depending on the amount of data that needs to be migrated.
6. Wait until the service pack / hotfix is fully installed.
7. Click "Close" and then click "Exit" to exit the Update Manager tool.
8. Start the Desktop Central.

How do I find out my build number?

Log in to the Desktop Central web client, and click the "About us" link in the top pane. You will find the build number mentioned below the version number.

Remote Control

1. File Transfer Support has been included.

1. Internet Shortcut feature has been introduced in Shortcut Configuration.
2. IP Printer Installation can now be performed across domains/workgroups.
3. Apply Always Option is enabled for Internet Explorer, Display, Path, Environmental Variable and Folder Redirection configurations.
4. File and Folder operations can now be performed across domains.
5. Issue in drive mapping configuration in win 2003 terminal session has been fixed .

Software Deployment

1. The size restriction in using "Http mode" while adding the package has been increased to 1GB.

General

1. Issue in Define Target for Domain Users of Active Directory Group has been fixed.
2. 'Office Location' attribute corresponding to a particular AD User will now be populated in the AD User Reports.
3. Report on 'Computers with/without a specific Software' has been introduced in the Inventory Module.
4. User Name attribute has been added in AD User Logon History Report.
5. Issue in installing Desktop Central Agents from the client console has been fixed.
6. Issue while validating the 'Sender E-Mail Address' in Mail Server Settings has been fixed.
7. Issue in using HTTP communication even if HTTPS is enabled has been fixed.
8. Request timeout in Agent-Server communication has been increased to avoid time out errors.
9. Memory leak while initiating scanning from Internet Explorer 8 has been fixed.
10. Issue in retrieving the Product Keys of Microsoft Office 2010 has been fixed.
11. OS Count mismatch issue in Computer Reports of Inventory module has been fixed.
12. 'Remaining Days' mismatch in Soon-to-Expire User Password Report has been fixed.
