Telnet

Storage devices support Telnet for menu based configurations. OpStor provides an option to launch a remote Telnet session with the device from within the OpStor client.

To launch a Telnet, follow these steps:

1. Click the device name link from the "Home" tab. The device properties page is shown

2. Click 'Telnet' link under 'Actions' in the RHS of the screen

3. Enter a valid username and password.

4. Default telnet port number and prompts are shown. Change them if necessary

5. Click 'Connect'. New Telnet page is launched.

6. Type the commands to query and/or to make configurations (press 'Enter' after typing in the command)

7. To close Telnet page, type device telnet termination command (say 'exit') and press 'Enter'

8. Close the telnet browser window
