  • Ensure that the vSphere WebAccess service is running in ESX server.
  • In the OpStor installed host, open a web browser and connect to the ESX server using the URL http://<ESX server IP Address>/host
  • Accept the certificate permanently, if asked, if any.
  • You will be prompted to provide the login credentials. Provide the vSphere WebAccess service administrative username and password.
  • From the list of files displayed, right click on the ssl_cert file and use the save link as (or save target as) option and save the file as '<IP Address of ESX server>.txt' (example, 192.168.108.26.txt, where 192.168.108.26 is the IP address of the ESX server)
  • Open a command prompt and navigate to <OpStor_Home>/jre/bin directory.
  • Now execute the following command

keytool.exe -import -file C:\Program Files\opstor\192.168.108.26.txt -alias 192.168.108.26 -keystore ..\lib\security\cacerts -storepass changeit

where,

'C:\Program Files\opstor\192.168.108.26.txt' is the path of the saved file and '192.168.108.26' is the IP address of the ESX server.

  • Now, it will prompt for accepting the certificate.
  • Accept the certificate by entering y(or yes)
  • You will receive a success message as 'Certificate was added to keystore'.
  • Once the above steps are followed, ensure that OpStor server is restarted (shut down and start again)
