Sharing Resources

You can share your resources / resource groups with other users and user groups. When you share a resource, all the passwords of that resource will be naturally shared. You can also grant varying permission levels to users and user groups by choosing one of the following.

View Passwords Modify Passwords Full Access

sers and User groups can only access the passwords.

Users and User groups can both access and carry out modifications to the shared resources. However, this privilege does not allow the other users to change any other attribute of the resource.

Users and User groups have complete management of resource / resource group. They can even re-share the resource or password with other users.

What you can share to other users and user groups?

You can share,

  • A particular account(s) to a user or user groups with view and modify permissions.
  • A resource to a user or user groups with any of the three permissions - view, modify, manage.

Note:

(1) When you share a particular resource group with a user group, the resource group will be visible to all members of that user group. That means, all the resources with their respective accounts, that are part of that resource group, would be visible to all the members of the user group. Also the permissions granted to the user group (view or modify or full access) will be applicable for all the members.

(2) Precedence for Share Permissions: The share permission (view or modify or full access) set for a password overrides that of its resources, which in turn overrides that of the resource groups which the resources is part of. (Lowest level takes highest precedence). Similarly, the share permission provided to an user overrides that of a user group the user is part of.
