VQManager Distributed Edition
VQManager Distributed Editionis a scalable solution best suited for large enterprises and VoIP service providers for monitoring their VoIP network. Distributed Editionhelps monitoring VoIP networks spread across distributed locations / multiple VLANs in a single location. Consolidated Central console GUI helps identify and troubleshoot VoIP problems and provides more insight into your VoIP. Apart from troubleshooting, the management can also get inputs on planning the capacity of their VoIP user base and use the bandwidth accordingly.

1.Scalability
Distributed Editiongives the ability to scale for large enterprises with VoIP phones spread across multiple VLANs and for service providers with thousands of concurrent / simultaneous calls. The following image depicts the architecture of an enterprise having multiple VLANs in a single location.
2.Consolidated view and comparitive analysis for distributed sites
Distributed Editionprovides a consolidated dashboard view of all the data collected periodically from multiple VLANs in a single network or multiple sites in a distributed network. It helps in comparitive analysis between the VLANs / Sites. Individual Site GUI can also be accessed from the Central Server dashboard itself. We can further drill down in to the Site details from here which makes it more user friendly.
Central Server
Central Server shows a consolidated view of the periodically collected data from all the Probe Servers installed in various locations. The Central Server by itself will not sniff the packets, it will act as data aggregator. In the Central Server dashboard view, which will provide the information like Call Volume, Voice Quality, Alarms, Concurrent Calls and Band Width utilization across sites. Also, we can navigate into each Probe GUI seamlessly from Central console using Single Sign On(SSO).
Probe Server
A Probe Server has all the features of Professional Edition and can be installed at each of the geographically distributed site or in a multi VLAN environment. It can be used to monitor a VLAN and report to the Central Server. In addition to sharing data to Central, it can be accessed via web UI as a standalone VQManager(Professional Edition). Each Probe is scalable upto ~1000 concurrent calls. If a site contains more than ~1000 concurrent calls, we can go for multiple installation of Probe Servers by dividing the VoIP traffic. All the configuration settings like setting the Sniffer, configuring the alarms & reports etc., will be done in Probe Server.
