Reports



Association reports

WiFi Manager generates the following association reports for Wireless networks:

 

Report Description
By Mobile user Shows the client density Vs time. At a glance you can get to know how many clients are connected to your Wireless LAN.
By Access Point Shows the number of clients connected in various access points.
Current Associations Shows the current associations
By Session Duration Provides session wise listing of the associations. Sorted by longest session.

 

Utilization Reports

WiFi Manager generates the following health reports for Wireless networks:

 

Report Description
Speed Provides graphical view of radio interface utilization of select access points, the Average speed, Minimum and Maximum speed statistics. Provides overall view of in out traffic and utilization values for all access points in tabular format.
Utilization Provides graphical view of ethernet interface utilization of select access points. Provides overall view of in out traffic and utilization values for all access points in tabular format.

 

 

Security Reports

 

WiFi Manager generates the following security reports for Wireless networks:

 

Report Description
Security Snapshot Presents the security level of each SSID pictorially.
Access Point Authenticity Provides a graphical representation of the number of trusted access points, rogue access points, and friendly access points.
Mobile Client Authenticity Provides a graphical representation of the number of trusted mobile clients, rogue mobile clients, and friendly mobile clients.

 

Radio Reports

WiFi Manager generates the following security reports for Wireless networks:

 

Report Description
Signal Quality Report Tells you the signal strength, noise levels, and signal quality of your access points.
Signal/ Noise Ratio Report Tells you the signal and noise levels across various channels.
Channel Usage Report Tells you the number of access points operating in various channels.

 

Detailed Traffic Reports

 

WiFi Manager generates the following detailed traffic reports for Wireless networks:

 

Report Description
Traffic By Frame Type Shows the total transmitted packets per access point split by the frame type - management packet, control packet, and data packet.
Traffic By Frame Speed Shows the number of packets transmitted at different frame speeds.

 

Availability Reports

 

WiFi Manager generates the following availability reports for Wireless networks:

 

Report Description
Access Point Radio Availability Report Tells you the total downtime, MTTR, MTBF, and uptime percentage for each access point's radio interface.
Access Point Ethernet Availability Report Tells you the total downtime, MTTR, MTBF, and uptime percentage for each access point's ethernet interface.

 

Error Reports

 

WiFi Manager generates the following error reports for Wireless networks:

 

Report Description
WEP Errors Report Tells you the WEP related errors occurring in your WLAN
Frame Retries Report Tells you the frame retries count.
Radio Packet Errors Report Tells you the different radio packet related errors occurring in your WLAN
Ethernet Packet Errors Report Tells you the different ethernet packet related errors occurring in your WLAN

 

Access point inventory Report

 

WiFi Manager generates the following inventory reports for Wireless networks:

 

Report Description
Access Points By Vendors Pictorially represents the access points in your network categorized based on the vendor.
Access Points By Media Type Pictorially represents the access points in your network categorized based on whether it is 802.11a/b/or g

 

 

Converting Reports to PDF

 

To ease printing WiFi Manager reports are available in PDF format. Click on the small PDF icon available on the report screen to convert the report of your choice to a PDF, instantly. PDFs thus created will be available under C:/ProgramFiles/AdventNet/ME/WiFi Manager/html/pdfgeneration/pdf/ directory.

 

Emailing PDFs

 

To ease sharing of reports WiFi Manager facilitates emailing the reports as attachments. Click on the Mail icon on the report screen, fill in the 'To' address and click send. WiFi Manager creates a PDF of the report that you are viewing, and sends it as an Email attachment to the intended recipient.
