802.11 Authentication Failure (Trap)

Access Points are designed to send traps to the manager applications, such as WiFi Manager or other network management applications, to inform failure conditions. The manager application on receipt of the traps would convert them into appropriate alarms and alerts the operators. Every access point has to be configured for the manager applications' IP address to which the Traps have to be sent.

802.11 Authentication Failure is one such trap, which is generated whenever a client fails to authenticate itself with the AP.
