# Device Reports

Organizations with a predominantly mobile-only workforce require frequent collection of asset data and also have them collated into a readable form. MDM lets you generate a wide range of reports on the go, including overall device reports to granular reports based on specific requirements. Additionally, you can also choose to create your own reports and have the report generation scheduled as well. The other advantage with these reports is that you can choose to export them to a wide variety of formats such as PDF, TXT, etc. Further, you can have the reports delivered to inbox as well. The following pre-defined reports can be generated using MDM:

| App Reports | New App Detected | Apps that are newly found to be installed on the managed devices. |
| App Reports | Devices with Blocklisted Apps | All the devices with blocklisted apps installed/detected are listed. |
| Hardware Reports | Devices by Model | Devices are listed based on their model number. |
| Hardware Reports | Device SIM Details | Detailed information about the SIM cards in the devices. |
| Hardware Reports | Device Battery History | Historical data on the battery performance and usage of the devices. |
| Enrollment Reports | Devices by Enrollment Time | Devices are listed based on the exact time when the device was enrolled with MDM. |
| Enrollment Reports | Inactive Devices | Inactive devices (devices not in contact with the server for some time) are listed. |
| Enrollment Reports | Shared Devices | Devices that are shared among multiple users are listed. |
| Location Reports | Location Details and History | Devices that have Geo-Tracking enabled are listed along with their accurate location tracking status and location history. |
| Location Reports | Geo-Tracking Status | Current status of Geo-Tracking on devices, indicating whether it is enabled or disabled. |
| Security Reports | Rooted Devices | All the rooted devices are listed. |
| Security Reports | Devices by Storage Encryption | Devices are listed based on storage encryption type. |
| Security Reports | Jailbroken Devices | All jailbroken devices are listed. |
| Security Reports | Devices Backed Up in Cloud | Devices with backups in the Cloud are listed. |

| Security Reports | Devices by Lost Mode Status | Devices that are in Lost Mode are listed, indicating whether they are marked as lost. |

| Telecom Expense Reports | Data Usage by Devices | Detailed data usage statistics for each device. |

All the reports listed above are predefined reports. The required columns can be customized using the Column Chooser option available within each report. For all app-based reports ensure you've configured the **App Settings** in the **Inventory** tab. To configure, click on the **Inventory** tab on MDM web console and select **Apps** from the left menu. Then click on the **Settings** tab and under **App Settings**, configure the type of apps you want MDM to manage and by extension, generate reports on.

All the above mentioned reports can be retrieved easily, by following the steps mentioned below:

1. On the MDM Server, navigate to **Reports tab**.
2. You can choose from one of the predefined reports or create your own custom query report. You can also schedule specific reports.
3. The generated report can then be exported as **.pdf, .csv or .xls** format.

You can also choose to ensure the data sent via reports can be masked/removed or let the technician decide every time.
