# Product help | ManageEngine MSP Central Browse our help docs to get the most out of MSP Central and enhance your user experience. ## General Settings Here's a list of feature-independent settings that has to be configured for MSP Central: ### User administration ### Administrator The Administrator role signifies the Super Admin who exercises full control on all modules. In MSP Central, users who are assigned Admin access have elevated privileges across the platform. Navigate to **Admin → General Settings → Users → Add User** and enter the Name, Email, and enable Admin access. ### Key features of Admin access - These users can only access the MSP Central Admin page. - Super admins are automatically added as administrators in the respective integrated modules: - **Endpoints** – Administrator - **Network Devices** – MSP Admin - **Help Desk** – SD Admin - Full control over all modules (Customer management, Site management, User management, Audit settings, License module) and functionalities within MSP Central. - By default, Admins have privileges to handle all customers available in the platform and perform all associated modules. - They can manage users, configure modules, and oversee customer environments without restriction. ### Technician A Technician can be assigned to specific modules with customizable roles and scopes. - **Module Association** Technicians can be added to specific modules based on the client's needs. They will have access to only the modules they are associated with, and only those associated modules will be visible in their account. - Roles within each module can be associated with the Technician. Additionally, custom roles can be created within individual modules and associated at the platform level. To assign a Technician, navigate to **Admin → General Settings → Users → Add User** and enter the Name, Email, and select the required role under **Assign Service & Role**. Click on the respective links to learn more about roles and permissions available in: - [endpoint management](https://www.manageengine.com/desktop-management-msp/help/configuring_desktop_central/user_role_and_permission.html) - [network monitoring](https://www.site24x7.com/help/msp/access-permissions.html) - [help desk operations](https://help.servicedeskplusmspcloud.com/portal/en/kb/articles/admin-configurations-users-and-permissions-users) ### Customer Group Once the customers have been added, the next step is to associate them with a Customer Group to facilitate the deployment of a policy to a group of devices. Bulk deployment improves policy distribution to various devices across the network and reduces the time and effort spent on individual policy deployment. Each customer must be associated with a Customer Group, and a customer can only belong to one Customer Group at a time. - **User scoping** Users are scoped based on the Customer Group they are associated with. This means that users will have access to all customers within their scoped Customer Group. - **Adding new customers** When a new customer is added to a Customer Group, users who are scoped to that group will automatically gain access to the new customer. - **Customer Group modifications** If a customer is moved from one group to another, their scope will be removed from users associated with the original group, and the customer will become accessible to users scoped to the new group. Select the Customer Group while assigning **Roles & Services** under **Add User**. To create a new Customer Group, navigate to **Admin → General Settings → Customers → Add Customer Group**. Enter the Group name and Customers. ### All Customer Group The All Customer Group is a virtual group in the MSP Central platform that automatically includes all customers available within the platform. When a user is scoped to the All Customer Group, they are granted access to all current and future customers in the modules they are associated with. ### Audit Log Management Audit Log Management enables the Admin to track and monitor various actions performed by users within the MSP Central platform. Admins can configure the retention period for audit log entries. Entries older than the configured retention period will automatically be removed from the Audit Log. ## Feature Settings **MSP Central is a platform powered by ServiceDesk Plus MSP, Endpoint Central MSP, and Site24x7 MSP.
