# How to apply credentials to the devices from Central Server?

Credentials from the central server can be added from device snapshot. To do so please follow the steps given below:

- Go to inventory.
- Click on the device to which credential needs to be applied.
- You can either select "Apply Credential" option from action menu ![action menu](https://www.manageengine.com/network-configuration-manager/kb/kb-images/icon1.png) at the top right corner, or you can simply click on the credential icon ![credential icon](https://www.manageengine.com/network-configuration-manager/kb/kb-images/icon-2.png) provided with Credential Status.

Credentials cannot be applied simultaneously for multiple devices from Central server directly. To do so, you can either select a probe specific view by selecting a particular probe from the probe selection drop down given on top of the page.

Alternatively you can log into the probe directly by accessing the probe host URL directly from your web browser or by clicking the probe name under Settings > Probe Details.
