# How to label current configuration for the selected device?

Please follow the steps given below to label a configuration for a particular device or a set of devices.

- Select one or more devices to label from the Inventory.
- Click on the 3 horizontal dots ![3 Horizontal dots](https://www.manageengine.com/network-configuration-manager/images/more-option.png) on the top right corner of the page to get more options.
- Click on "Label Configuration".
- Select a label in the newly opened slide or create a new label by providing the label name.
- Provide a description for the label.
- Click on Save

*Kindly note that, out of your selection of devices, only the devices that have at least one successful backup, will be listed in this slide.*
