Monitor distributed Meraki wireless networks

Monitoring distributed networks is imperative to ensure complete Cisco Meraki monitoring. OpManager does this by listing all the physical locations managed within an organization along with the following details:

  • The total In/Out traffic utilization for a given network
  • Number of connected clients per network
  • The type of network
  • Number of devices in a network
  • Number of down-devices
  • A topology view of the network
Devices

Keep tabs on Meraki devices and infrastructure

OpManager gives you a complete overview of the Meraki devices hosted in your distributed networks. For each organization, you can view the devices classified based on their type. From this you can filter out devices based on the network they're hosted in and their status (whether they're active or not). You can also check their uptime status, IP address, and MAC addresses. You can also start monitoring each device for more advanced performance metrics.

Clients

Track connected clients and rogue SSIDs

You can monitor the total number of clients connected to your Meraki organization in one glance and then further drill down to the number of clients connected per network. Furthermore, you can also view the traffic usage for each network and their specific number of clients for more in-depth monitoring.

OpManager detects rogue SSIDs connected to your access points. This can be helpful in preventing malicious actors from intruding into your networks. For rogue SSIDs, you can track the following metrics:

  • SSID name
  • The network it was detected in
  • Number of channels per SSID
Topology

Visualize Meraki topology with maps

Visualizing Meraki topology can be helpful in managing large Meraki organizations. OpManager powers this with dedicated Cisco Meraki topology views. For each network hosted in your Meraki organization, you can generate a topology view that lists the devices hosted in that network.

You can also visualize the health status of each component in a topology view with the help of colour-coded alarm states.

You can drill down into each device shown in topology views to see more monitored information and advanced metrics.
