ADManager Plus - End of Support Policy

This page contains information on the support life cycle of each version of ADManager Plus. Typically, every ADManager Plus version will be supported for at least five years. After a version reaches its end of support (EoS), it will no longer receive technical support or security updates from ADManager Plus.

EoS details

A support life cycle is the period from when a version of ADManager Plus is available for downloading to when it is no longer supported. After a version reaches its EoS, ADManager Plus stops providing security updates, non-security updates, features, enhancements, and technical support. Currently, ADManager Plus provides support for the versions released in the last five years.

The EoS announcements are made for older versions six months before their retirement dates. ADManager Plus strongly encourages users to plan and update to the latest version to ensure continued support and access to new features.

ADManager Plus will not be liable for any security or performance issues caused by EoS versions. By using ADManager Plus, you agree to our terms of service and acknowledge that it is your responsibility to keep the software updated to the latest version to ensure optimal performance and security.

Drawbacks of staying on the EoS versions

  • Organizations that continue to use the EoS versions of ADManager Plus will be highly prone to unpatched vulnerabilities, increased security risks, and noncompliance with industry standards.
  • The EoS versions may not be as feature-rich as their successors and can also incur high operational costs through data breaches or lost revenue from downtime.

  1. What is the purpose of the EoS policy?

    The EoS policy is intended purely for the benefit of ADManager Plus customers to gain value from their spending on ADManager Plus. As business needs evolve, we update our product to provide a better service with time. We expect our users to cooperate fully and update to the latest version.

  2. For how long will a version be fully supported?

    From the time of a version's release, it will be fully supported for at least five years. As new versions are released, previous versions are supported for a certain period of time, then pushed to End of Support.

  3. How will ADManager Plus announce the EoS for a version?

    The EoS announcements will be made via our Pitstop forum, release notes, email, and in-product notifications.

  4. How far ahead of the EoS date will the announcement be made?

    The EoS of a version will be announced six months before its last support date. This way, users will be able to use this time to plan and execute the upgrade process.

  5. How can I update to the latest build of ADManager Plus if my build number is 7020 or older?

  6. Is the update free of cost?
