# Alarm Widgets Alarm widgets keep active alarms, error trends, and attribute-level breaches in front of you without opening the Alarms tab. Use them to build dashboards that highlight what is currently wrong across your monitors and monitor groups. Applications Manager groups six widgets under this category. - [Alarm Summary Widget](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/alarm-widgets.html#alarm-summary-widget) - [Application Health Summary](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/alarm-widgets.html#application-health-summary) - [Attributes Alarm Widget](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/alarm-widgets.html#attributes-alarm-widget) - [Last N Alarms](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/alarm-widgets.html#last-n-alarms) - [Monitor Errors Status Widget](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/alarm-widgets.html#monitor-errors-status-widget) - [Monitors by Status and Downtime Widget](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/alarm-widgets.html#monitors-by-status-and-downtime-widget) ## Alarm Summary Widget Shows alarm counts by severity for monitors and monitor groups over a chosen time window, with a drill-down to the underlying alarms. ### Configuration options | Option | Description | |---|---| | Widget Name | Name that appears on the dashboard for this widget. | | Description | Optional text to describe the widget's purpose. | | Severity | Multi-select of *Critical*, *Warning*, and *Clear* alarms to count. | | Monitor Group | *Select Monitor Group* (none selected), *Only Monitor Groups*, *Only Monitors*, or a specific monitor group, to scope the count. | | Category | Multi-select of monitor types and configured custom fields to include. | | Time | Time range for the alarm count, from Last 5 minutes up to Last month, or *Custom Period* with a specific start and end date/time. | | Sort By | Order the underlying alarm list used for the widget's counts. | | Show Top | Maximum number of alarms considered. | ## Application Health Summary Tracks and displays APM Insight error counts, trends, and severity for transactions, errors, and exceptions, with drill-down to detailed event summaries. This widget is backed by Site24x7 APM Insight event data rather than local Applications Manager alarms. ### Configuration options | Option | Description | |---|---| | Widget Name | Name that appears on the dashboard for this widget. | | Description | Optional text to describe the widget's purpose. | | Severity | Multi-select of *Critical*, *Warning*, and *Clear* to count. | | Monitor Group | *Select Monitor Group*, *Only Monitor Groups*, *Only Monitors*, or a specific monitor group. | | Category | Multi-select of *APM Insight - 4xx Errors*, *APM Insight - 5xx Errors*, *APM Insight - Exceptions*, *APM Insight - Transactions*, *APM Insight Instance*, *Custom Queries*, *Database Servers*, and *Servers*. | | Time | Time range for the summary, from Last 5 minutes up to Last month, or *Custom Period* with a specific start and end date/time. | | Transaction Category | *All Transactions* or *Business Transactions*, shown when Transactions, 4xx Errors, 5xx Errors, or Exceptions is selected in Category. | | Response Time | Threshold in seconds (*Greater Than or Equal To*), shown only when Transactions is selected. | | Error % | Threshold percentage (*Greater Than or Equal To*), shown only when Transactions is selected. | **Note:** When 4xx Errors, 5xx Errors, or Exceptions is selected in Category, the Critical severity must also be selected, since those categories are treated as critical transactions. ## Attributes Alarm Widget Lists attribute-level alarms rather than monitor-level ones. Each row is one attribute, of one monitor, that is currently breaching its threshold. Use it for views like "all memory-utilization breaches above 80% across Windows servers" or "all Oracle tablespaces with free-space warnings." ### Configuration options | Option | Description | |---|---| | Widget Name | Name that appears on the dashboard for this widget. | | Description | Optional text to describe the widget's purpose. | | Select severity | Multi-select of Health severities (Critical/Warning/Clear) and Availability severities (Down/Up) to include. | | Filter By Monitor Type | Monitor type whose attributes are listed. Choosing *All* replaces attribute selection with two checkboxes: *Exclude Health Alerts* and *Exclude Availability Alerts*. | | Select Attributes | Search and add one or more attributes for the selected monitor type; up to 100 attributes can be added across types. Selected attributes are listed under *Selected Attribute(s)*. | | Show Monitors From | *All Monitors*, *From Monitor Group*, or a configured custom field. | | Filter by Alert Message | A pattern-match condition, a text value, and case sensitivity, to filter alarms by message content. | | Alert duration | Condition made up of *Greater Than* or *Less Than*, a numeric value, and a unit toggle between hours and minutes. | | Alert Message Limit | Maximum number of alert messages to fetch (1 to 300). | | Persist Alert duration until Alert becomes clear | Keeps the alert's elapsed duration counting from when it first appeared, instead of resetting it. | | Sort By | Order the attribute alarm list. | | Show Top | Maximum number of alerts to list. | | Graph Type | *Bar Chart*, *Bar Chart (no table)*, *Pie Chart*, *Pie Chart (no table)*, or *No Graph*. | ## Last N Alarms Shows the most recent alarms raised across the selected monitors, newest first, giving a quick pulse-check of what triggered most recently. ### Configuration options | Option | Description | |---|---| | Widget Name | Name that appears on the dashboard for this widget. | | Description | Optional text to describe the widget's purpose. | | Filter by Monitor Type | Monitor type whose alarms must be shown. | | Show Monitors From | *All Monitors*, *From Monitor Group*, *Let me Choose the Monitors*, or a configured custom field. | | Filter by Name | Restrict the monitor list to display names containing the given text. | | Show Top | Maximum number of alarms to list, for example Recent 10 Alarms or Recent 25 Alarms. | ## Monitor Errors Status Widget Summarizes poll-time errors that monitors have logged, such as connection failures, authentication errors, and timeouts, over a chosen data collection window. This is distinct from threshold-based alarms; it reports polling and data-collection failures rather than metric breaches. ### Configuration options | Option | Description | |---|---| | Widget Name | Name that appears on the dashboard for this widget. | | Description | Optional text to describe the widget's purpose. | | Filter by Monitor Type | Monitor type whose poll errors must be shown. | | Show Monitors From | *All Monitors*, *From Monitor Group*, *Let me Choose the Monitors*, or a configured custom field. | | Show Message Type | *All*, *Errors only*, or *Information only*. | | Data Collection Time | Condition made up of *Greater Than* or *Less Than*, a numeric value, and a unit toggle between minutes and seconds. | | Sort By | Order the error list. | | Show Top | Maximum number of monitors to list. | | Include Summary Chart | Adds a breakdown chart of the error types, shown only when Show Message Type is set to *All*. | ## Monitors by Status and Downtime Widget Lists monitors that are currently in a chosen status, for example Down, Critical, or Trouble, together with how long they have been in that state. Useful for keeping "things that are currently broken" visible on an operations dashboard. This is the list-view counterpart to the [Monitor Status Overview](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/availability-and-health-widgets.html#monitor-status-overview) and [Monitor under Downtime Schedules/Unmanaged Widget](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/availability-and-health-widgets.html#monitor-under-downtime-schedules-unmanaged-widget) widgets. ### Configuration options | Option | Description | |---|---| | Widget Name | Name that appears on the dashboard for this widget. | | Description | Optional text to describe the widget's purpose. | | Show Alert for | Choose whether the list is based on *Availability* or *Health* status. | | Select severity | Multi-select of the severities to include. | | Filter by Monitor Type | Monitor type to include in the list. | | Show Monitors From | *All Monitors*, *From Monitor Group*, *Let me Choose the Monitors*, or a configured custom field. | | Filter by Alert Message | A pattern-match condition, a text value, and case sensitivity. | | Alert Message Limit | Maximum number of alert messages to fetch (1 to 300). | | Alert duration | Condition made up of *Greater Than* or *Less Than*, a numeric value, and a unit toggle between hours and minutes. | | Persist Alert duration until Alert becomes clear | Keeps the alert's elapsed duration counting from when it first appeared. Available only when *Show Alert for* is set to Health. | | Sort By | Order the monitor list. | | Show Top | Maximum number of monitors to list. | ## Related links - [Dashboards and Widgets](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/dashboards-widgets.html) - [Performance Widgets](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/performance-widgets.html) - [Availability and Health Widgets](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/availability-and-health-widgets.html) - [Monitor Group Widgets](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/monitor-group-widgets.html) - [Utility Widgets](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/utility-widgets.html)
