## Sequence of the Demo

**Step 1: Create Threshold Profile**

Thresholds let you define the status of an attribute based on specific conditions.

In the demo, we are going to define a threshold to show the status of the **Windows server as critical if the CPU utilization crosses 75%**.

**Step 2: Create Action**

Actions include sending email, SMS, trap notifications, and executing a command to notify you of the alarms generated.

In the demo, we are going to create an **email to notify the admin**.

**Step 3: Associate Threshold & Action**

After creating the thresholds and actions, we have to associate them with the appropriate attributes of a monitor for the generation of alarms.

In the demo, we will associate **Email (action) if the CPU utilization (attribute) crosses 75% (threshold)**.
