Password Synchronization with Zendesk
Important :
- Install the Password Sync Agent to synchronize native password changes and resets.
- Make sure "Password Access via API" using agent's email address and password authentication is enabled
- Make sure admin acccount of Zendesk you are going to be used in password synchronization configuration having "Set Password permission".
Steps to configure Zendesk with ADSelfService Plus
- Log into ADSelfService Plus admin console with admin credentials.
- Navigate to Configuration → Self-Service → Password Sync/ Single Sign On.

Select the Zendesk application.
Note: You can also find Zendesk application that you need from the search bar located in the left pane or the alphabet wise navigation option in the right pane.
- Enter the Application Name and Description.
- Enter the Domain name of your Zendesk account

In the Assign Policies field, select the policies for which password sync need to be enabled.
Note: ADSelfService Plus allows you to create OU and group-based policies for your AD domains. To create a policy, go to Configuration → Self-Service → Policy Configuration → Add New Policy.
- Select Enable Password Sync.
- Enter the Username and Password of your Zendesk account
- Click Add Application
How to Enable 'Password Access' API
- Navigate to Admin( Wheel icon - from left menu ) → CHANNELS → API → Settings tab.
- Select Enable API authentication using an agent's email address and password option enabled.

How to grant 'Set Password' permission ?
- Navigate to Admin Centerby clicking box-menu icon near profile icon.
- In Admin Center, Navigate to Security → Advanced.
- Select Enable admins to set passwords.
- Click Save.
