Installing Browser Security extensions to target machines

Browser Security add-on for Endpoint Central requires browser extensions to be installed on target machines to fetch certain browser insights and certain functionalities. This document will walk you through how to install the browser extensions to target machines. Based on the requirements, you can:

  1. Install extensions to all the managed computers
  2. Install extensions to specific computers.

How to install extensions to all the managed computers.

  1. Open Endpoint Central console.
  2. Navigate to browsers tab.
  3. Click on add-on settings from the left pane.
  4. Check the boxes corresponding to Install Browser Security extensions on managed browsers.
  5. Click on save
  6. How to install extensions to specific computers.

    1. Open Endpoint Central console.
    2. Navigate to browsers tab.
    3. Click on manage from the left pane and click on Extension Repository.
    4. Click on "Add Extension" and select Google Chrome.
    5. Paste the following 32 characters: mhkgegcmcapcgmnnloigolapjkajgfmd in the Enter Extension Identifier field and click on add.
    6. Click on "Add Extension" once more and select Microsoft Edge.
    7. Paste the following 32 characters: bdgkacbeblomgnaoildjnppjkamgoogc in the Enter Extension Identifier field and click on add.
    8. Next, click on "Add Extension" again and select Mozilla Firefox.
    9. Paste the following in the Enter Extension Identifier field:
      https://downloads.zohocdn.com/bsp-desktop/browser-security-plus.xpi
    10. Note: This is applicable only for build versions 11.3.2426.02 and above. It is also applicable in Newsletter build series 11.3.2416.10 and 11.3.2400.31.

    11. From the table, click on the Action button corresponding to each extension.
    12. Click on Distribute to computer(s) or Deploy to Group(s) based on requirement

    Once the extensions are installed on target machines, you can avail all features offered by Browser Security add-on for Endpoint Central.
