# ELB traffic analysis Elastic Load Balancers (ELB) enable AWS users to distribute incoming traffic across multiple EC2 instances. Information on requests made to an ELB is recorded in ELB access logs and stored as log files in the Amazon S3 bucket specified by the AWS user. Data contained within an ELB access log includes the time a request was received, the client's IP address, the identity of the requester (such as the operating system and browser), latencies, the request path, processing time, and traffic volume. Cloud Security Plus reads ELB access logs from the S3 bucket, and uses that information to generate reports on the traffic running through the load balancer. With [Cloud Security Plus](https://www.manageengine.com/cloud-security/)' reports, you can analyze traffic patterns and monitor the operational efficiency of your ELB. Cloud Security Plus now supports **Classic, Application**, and **Network Load Balancers**. ## ELB traffic analysis reports ### Overall ELB traffic ![Overall ELB traffic](https://www.manageengine.com/cloud-security/images/overall-elb-traffic-report-thumb.png) [Overall ELB traffic](https://www.manageengine.com/cloud-security/images/overall-elb-traffic-report.png) Includes details such as the total requests made, requests with errors, unique requests, volume of data sent and received, and the load balancer the request was made to. ### Access requests made to ELB ![Access requests made to ELB](https://www.manageengine.com/cloud-security/images/report-of-all-access-requests-to-elb-thumb.png) [Access requests made to ELB](https://www.manageengine.com/cloud-security/images/report-of-all-access-requests-to-elb.png) Includes details on the time the request was made, the client's IP address, the back-end instance's IP address, the status code of the ELB and back end, and the volume of data sent and received. ### Access requests that have failed ![Access requests that have failed](https://www.manageengine.com/cloud-security/images/report-of-failed-access-requests-to-elb-thumb.png) [Access requests that have failed](https://www.manageengine.com/cloud-security/images/report-of-failed-access-requests-to-elb.png) Includes details on the time the request was made, the client's IP address, and the back-end instance's IP address. ## ELB operational efficiency report ### ELB latency ![Access requests that have failed](https://www.manageengine.com/cloud-security/images/elb-latency-report-thumb.png) [Access requests that have failed](https://www.manageengine.com/cloud-security/images/elb-latency-report.png) Lists the average time taken to process a request, average time taken to respond to a request, how long the request was processed in the back end on average, and the ELB that processed the request.
