• 1. How does CloudSpend pricing work?

• Pricing is based on your annual cloud spend. You choose a plan that fits your expected spend range, and CloudSpend checks your usage each month against that plan's equivalent monthly limit (annual limit ÷ 12). If a month exceeds that limit, you'll get a notification. There are no automatic charges or plan changes.

  Example: On the Professional plan, your monthly limit is $20,833. If your bill hits $22,000 in March, you'll receive a notification and can add an add-on or upgrade. Nothing changes automatically.

• 2. My cloud bill is around $2,500/month. Do I need to pay anything?

• No. The Free plan covers up to $3,000/month at no cost. If your bill crosses that in any month, you'll need to upgrade to keep data syncing.

• 3. How do I choose the right plan?

• Match your current annual cloud spend to the plan that covers it. If you're between plans or expecting growth, pick the one that fits today and use add-ons or upgrade as needed.

• 4. I spend about $95,000/year. Lite and Starter both cover that. So what's the difference?

• Both plans support up to $100,000/year in cloud spend, but Starter includes more features.

  Choose Lite if you only need basic visibility. Choose Starter if you need longer history, more accounts, or multi-portal support.

• 5. What happens if I exceed my plan's limit?

• You'll receive a notification email. There are no automatic charges or plan changes. You then have two options:

  Example: You're on Starter ($100K/year, ~$8,333/month) and your bill hits $10,000 in one month. You can add a $100K/year add-on to extend coverage to $200K/year instead of upgrading to Professional.

• 6. What are add-ons and when should I use them?

• Add-ons extend your plan's spend coverage without changing your plan tier. They're available on Starter, Professional, Elite, and Enterprise plans.

  Example: You're on Starter ($100K/year) and your spend grows to $150K. A $100K add-on at $62/month brings your total coverage to $200K/year at $124/month total, which is cheaper than upgrading to Professional at $144/month. If your spend is consistently growing beyond $200K, upgrading to Professional gives you $250K coverage in a single plan rather than stacking add-ons.

• 7. Can I change my plan later?

• Yes. You can upgrade to a higher plan or purchase an add-on at any time. There is no penalty for changing plans. Contact the sales team to make the switch.

• 8. Is annual billing worth it?

• If you expect to use CloudSpend for a full year, annual billing saves you up to 14% compared to paying month to month.

• 9. How does the free trial work? Are there any limits?

• The 30-day free trial gives you full access to CloudSpend with no credit card required. You can connect up to five payer accounts across AWS, Azure, and GCP. For each connected account, up to three months of historical cost data (from the day of integration) will be parsed and shown in your views.

• 10. What happens when my trial ends?

• Billing begins from the month after your trial expires. For example, if your trial ends in April, your first bill covers April's usage and is delivered in May. If you do not upgrade after the trial, your account is suspended and cloud bills stop syncing.

• 11. What payment options and periods are available?

• You can pay by credit card, PayPal, or purchase order (PO). Both monthly and annual billing are available on all plans.

• 12. For multi-portal setups (MSP Customer Portal/Workspace), what happens if I reach the 10-portal limit?

• Your existing portals continue working without interruption. You just won't be able to create new ones until you increase your limit. Contact cloudspend-sales@manageengine.com to expand your portal capacity.

• 13. Can I activate both Workspace and the MSP Customer Portal at the same time?

• No. Only one multi-portal mode can be active on a subscription at a time. Choose based on your use case: Workspace for internal team separation, MSP Customer Portal for managing external clients with custom billing rules.

• 14. Does multi-portal pricing apply to the total cloud spend across all customers?

• Yes. Your plan tier is determined by the combined annual cloud spend across all portals under your CloudSpend subscription, not per customer individually.

  Example: You manage three MSP customer portals spending $150K, $120K, and $90K per year respectively. Your combined spend is $360K/year, which falls under the Elite plan regardless of what each individual customer spends.

• 15. Do I need a paid plan to access multi-portal capabilities?

• No. Multi-portal features (MSP Customer Portal and Workspace) are available on the Free tier for up to 10 portals. You'll need to upgrade to a paid plan only if you need more than 10 portals. Contact cloudspend-sales@manageengine.com to expand your limit.
