# How to configure Endpoint Central MSP to prompt user before sharing his/her desktop? ## Description Remote Desktop Sharing enables administrators to gain access to remote Windows desktops in the network. However, if you want the end user to be the decision-making authority for granting access to establish a Remote Desktop Sharing session, you can prompt a request message on the user’s screen to accept or reject the initiated session. The following steps will help you configure Endpoint Central MSP to prompt the user before sharing his or her desktop. ## Steps to configure Endpoint Central MSP to prompt user before sharing his/her desktop 1. Go to the **Tools** tab and select **Remote Control**. 2. Click the **Edit Settings** link. This opens the **Remote Control Settings** page. 3. Select the **Enable Prompt** checkbox under Prompt Settings. **Note:** Only Endpoint Central MSP users with administrative privileges can configure this option. 4. Specify the **Time out** value in seconds (default is 30 seconds). The remote connection will be established if the user accepts the connection within the specified time. The request gets terminated automatically if there is no user response. 5. Specify the **Prompt Message** that you want the user to see while you are trying to establish Remote Control.
