This guide explains how administrators can centrally deploy and manage WireGuard VPN on Android devices through MDM, ensuring corporate and BYOD devices follow organizational security policies. It covers publishing the WireGuard VPN app via Managed Google Play, preparing a .conf configuration file with server address, credentials, and profile details, distributing it to devices as a downloadable announcement, and importing the file into the WireGuard app to complete the VPN connection.
When WireGuard integrated with MDM, WireGuard can be deployed and managed centrally, ensuring that all corporate and BYOD devices adhere to organizational security policies. Admins can push WireGuard configurations to devices, simplifying VPN setup for end users and ensuring consistent access control.
Launch WireGuard VPN application. tap the + button. Tap Import from file or archive. Select the WireGuard configuration (.conf) file you download from the Me MDM Announcement and then tap OK to confirm the connection request.
