# Wi-Fi profile failed

## Problem

You get an error message "Wifi Profile Failed!" while creating a Wi-Fi Profile.

## Cause

You might get this error message when the certificate sent along with the Wi-Fi payload fails to install.

## Resolution

The device needs a passcode policy in order for the Wi-Fi certificate to be installed. You need to verify if a passcode policy is set on the device, if not, create a Passcode Profile and distribute it to the device. You may then create the Wi-Fi Profile again by choosing the appropriate certificate.
