# How do Vendor Templates differ from Device/Interface Templates ?

- Apart from the Device Templates, OpManager contains 53000+ Vendor Templates. These templates hold predefined SysOID and Vendor name.
- During device discovery, if OpManager couldn't identify a matching device template, it will try to find a matching vendor template.
- If a matching vendor template is found, OpManager creates a custom template automatically with the name `<Vendor Name> Device`.
- This custom template can be found under **Settings -> Configuration -> Device Template -> Custom**
