# Disk Space Calculator

The Disk space calculator will calculate the amount of Disk space that OpManger will require based on your load details and the Database type.

## Configuration Options

### OpManager Installation *

- PROFESSIONAL / PROBE
- CENTRAL

### Database Type *

- PGSQL
- MSSQL

### Data Retention *

- Default
- Custom

If **Custom** is selected, configure the following:

- **Hourly Statistics**: 0 to 90 days (default: 30 days)  
- **Daily Statistics**: 0 to 3650 days (default: 365 days)  
- **Detailed Statistics**: 0 to 999 days (default: 7 days)

Add load details for each monitored entity type.

- **Entity Count**: 0 to 50000  
- **Entity Monitoring Interval**: Minimum 1 minute  

## Included Data in Calculation

The calculation includes data generated by:

- **Device availability monitoring** – Track the up/down status, packet loss, and response time to ensure the device is reachable and active.
- **Performance monitoring** – Collect metrics such as CPU, memory, and disk utilization at regular intervals.
- **Interface monitoring** – Track network traffic, errors, and utilization across device interfaces.

**Note:** For performance monitoring, disk space usage may vary depending on the number of instances being monitored.
