Patch Update Delayed Application in Use

Problem

You are trying to deploy updates for an application but the patch update is delayed with the error message "Patch update delayed since application is used by another process".

Cause

You might face any of the above mentioned scenario due to one of the following:

• Users are logged in and have a the specific application is open on their computer.
• One of the web browsers using specific application might have been open in the computer.

Resolution

In the above mentioned case, the update will not be successful and automatic retry will be in progress. Patch will be installed only when the specific application is not in use. It will be successfully installed during the system startup in most cases.
