To create a new Telnet monitor, follow the steps given below:
Security/Firewall Requirements: The host and port should be accessible from the Applications manager installed machine.
Go to the Monitors Category View by clicking the Monitors tab. Click on Telnet / Telnet (EUM) under the Services table. Displayed is the Telnet monitor's bulk configuration view distributed into three tabs:
Below are the list of metrics that are monitored in Applications Manager:

| Availability | Connects to the server configured for monitoring and retrieves the details pertaining to the validity and authenticity of the service port. |
| CPU Utilization | Amount of CPU utilized by the server (in %). |
| Memory Utilization | Amount of memory utilized by the server (in %). |
| Disk Utilization | Amount of disk space utilized by the server (in %). |

| Response Time | Amount of time taken to connect to the port and provide response (in ms). |
It allows us to track crucial metrics such as response times, resource utilization, error rates, and transaction performance. The real-time monitoring alerts promptly notify us of any issues or anomalies, enabling us to take immediate action.
