Patch Download Failure


Endpoint Central Patch Download fails with the error message - "Bug in authorization handling : server refused the given info 10 times."


This error will be shown if, the specified proxy credential is no longer valid i.e., the proxy credentials have changed and you have not updated the details in the Endpoint Central Server.


You can resolve this issue as follows:

  1. Check and Update the Proxy user name/password: If the proxy credential specified is no longer valid, go to Admin tab> Proxy Settings> Update the username and password in the HTTP Proxy Configuration section.
  2. Ensure that the configured Proxy settings has permission to download the installabe files from the below mentioned websites
    1. - for Microsoft applications
    2. - for Mozila Firefox & Mozilla Thunderbird
    3. http://* - for Adobe patches, flash player, Adobe air
    4. - for Adobe Shockwave Player
    5. - for Java updates
    6. http://* - for Mac OS updates, Quick time player, Itunes  & JRE 1.6
    7. - for Real player
    8. http://* - for JRE 1.7
    9. http://* - for Open Office
    10. - for Google chrome s
    11. - for Mozilla Firefox 3.6
    12. - for CCleaner
    13. - for TightVNC
    14. http://* - for TightVNC
    15. http://* - for Notepad ++
    16. - for WinRAR
    17. - for Foxit Reader
    18. - for Libre Office
    19. https://* for CDBurnerXP
    20. - for Winzip
    21. http://* - PDF Architect
    22. - for AllwaySync
    23. - for GIMP
    24. - for 7 Zip
    25. - for Libre Office
    26. - for Skype
