One Identity Configuration:

Single Sign-On

With the number of enterprise applications being used in an organization increasing day by day, it becomes hard for users to keep track of the various applications’ authentication credentials. This can lead to password fatigue to prevent which users may resort to creating weak passwords. Also, every time a user logs into an application, it’s an opportunity for hackers to compromise their credentials using cyberattacks like phishing. When single sign-on is configured, users simply need to log into the Identity Provider once and can access other applications without having to log in again. This reduces the number of logins and the number of credentials to be remembered.

  • Enterprise single sign-on :

ADSelfService Plus' Single Sign-on feature, allows users to log in to ADSelfService Plus and then access their SAML enterprise applications without logging in again. This reduces the hassle of having to maintain multiple accounts and helps users maintain one identity across multiple SAML-enabled enterprise applications. Organizations can even enable single sign-on for custom SAML applications. To know how to configure enterprise single sign-on in ADSelfService Plus, Click here.

  • NTLM-based SSO Authentication :

NTLM Authentication: Once NTLM-based SSO Authentication is enabled, users can log into their Windows machine and automatically access the ADSelfService Plus portal with logging in. This reduces the number of logins performed by the user. To know how to configure NTLM-based SSO Authentication in ADSelfService Plus, Click here.

Multi-platform password synchronization

When users have to maintain separate passwords for multiple enterprise applications, the chances of them forgetting their passwords and contacting the help desk for password reset high. The Password Synchronization feature in ADSelfService Plus allows users to synchronize their domain account password across their user accounts in integrated enterprise applications. Any native password changes (password change using the Ctrl+Alt+Del option in Windows and password resets using Active Directory Users and Computers(ADUC) console) can also be synchronized if the Password Sync Agent is installed.
