Licensing of ADSelfService Plus

To use ADSelfService Plus, the product license needs to be purchased and applied. After an ADSelfService Plus license is purchased, you'll receive an email containing the license file. This section will explain the:

• Types of ADSelfService Plus editions
• Types of ADSelfService Plus subscriptions
• Steps to apply an ADSelfService Plus license

Types of ADSelfService Plus editions

ADSelfService Plus is available in four editions: Evaluation, Free, Standard and Professional.

Evaluation edition: When you install ADSelfService Plus for the first time, it will come with the Evaluation edition. This edition offers all the features available in the Professional edition and can be used free for 30 days. After 30 days, it is automatically converted to the Free edition unless a Standard or Professional edition license is purchased and applied.

If Endpoint MFA is not purchased, you will receive 10 licenses of the Standard edition of Endpoint MFA for free.

ADSelfService Plus offers additional features that you can purchase separately as add-ons, such as:

Note: The SMS Add-on can be purchased in all countries except for the United States of America. Customers in the United States region will have to purchase SMS credits directly from a vendor and then integrate it with ADSelfService Plus.

ADSelfService Plus also offers Endpoint MFA, which includes

• MFA support for Windows (including offline MFA), Linux, and macOS; VPN and other network endpoints using RADIUS; OWA and other IIS web applications.
• Available in Standard and Professional editions along with the corresponding editions of ADSelfService Plus, and start at $495 and $995, respectively, for 500 users.
• The Standard edition is available for free for up to 10 users, across the Free, Standard, and Professional editions.

Types of ADSelfService Plus subscriptions

Annual subscription: As the name suggests, this offers product use for a period of one year. For continued access to the product, the license needs to be renewed annually. Annual subscriptions are available for both the Standard and the Professional editions of ADSelfService Plus. Prices for the annual subscription include the annual maintenance and support fees.

Perpetual subscription: Once purchased, the perpetual subscription need not be renewed. Clients only have to pay the annual maintenance and support fees. Perpetual subscriptions are available for both the Standard and the Professional editions of ADSelfService Plus.

How to apply the license file and upgrade the ADSelfService Plus edition

1. Open the ADSelfService Plus admin portal.
2. Click the License link in the top-right corner. This will open up the License Details pop-up window.
3. Click Browse, and select the appropriate license file (License.xml).
4. Click Upgrade to upgrade the Evaluation or Free edition to the Standard or Professional edition.
