Server based File Audit Reports

 

Narrow the tracking of modifications to a particular File Server (s), saving you time and resources.

Generating a Server based File Audit Report

  1. Go to Server based Reports under the File Audit tab

  2. Click on the File Audit Report for which you require data.

  3. Select the File Server (s)

  4. Select the Period

This will list File audit data for all selected File Servers depending on the type of File Audit requirement. Using the quick search option, you can select only the File Server of your preference to view audit information.

 

Reports shown under Server Based File Audit Reports

  1. All File or Folder Changes by Server.

  2. Files Created in the selected File Server(s).

  3. Files Modified in the selected File Server(s).

  4. Files Deleted in the selected File Server(s).

  5. Successful File Read Access in the selected File Server(s).

  6. Failed attempt to Read File in the selected File Server(s).

  7. Failed attempt to Write File in the selected File Server(s).

  8. Failed attempt to Delete File in the selected File Server(s).

  9. Folder Permission Changes in the selected File Server(s).

  10. Folder Audit Setting Changes(SACL) in the selected File Server(s).

 

Graphs for Server Based File Audit Reports

 

For user convenience a graphical snapshot of each report is provided. The graphs show Top 5 User data for action on the File Server depending on the type of report selected. Using the quick search option, you can select only the File Server of your preference to view audit information.

  1.  All File/Folder Changes by Server

  2. Top 5 User who created Files in the File Server(s) selected.

  3. Top 5 User who modified Files in the File Server(s) selected.

  4. Top 5 User who deleted Files in the File Server(s) selected.

  5. Top 5 User who succesfully accessed Files / Folders in the File Server(s) selected.

  6. Top 5 User with failed read attempts in the File Server(s) selected.

  7. Top 5 User with failed write attempts in the File Server(s) selected.

  8. Top 5 User with failed deleted attempts in the File Server(s) selected.

  9. Top 5 Users who modified Folder permissions

  10. Top 5 Users who modified Audit Permissions

Except for " All File/Folder Changes by Server" DataSecurity Plus shows top 5 user information.
