Agent (or) Distribution Server Installation/Remote Control Failure - Service Timeout Issue


You are trying to install Desktop Central Agent / taking Remote Control of a remote machine / installing Distribution Server, but you get a message - "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion".


You will see this message if there is a timeout issue while the service starts.
