# Workflow of Asset Data Posting from Endpoint Central MSP to ConnectWise PSA This document outlines the integration workflow between ConnectWise PSA and Endpoint Central MSP, focusing on asset management and data synchronization. This integrated setup streamlines IT asset management and security solutions while ensuring adherence to ITIL guidelines. ## Asset Mapping Workflow ### Service Tag Mapping The integration begins by attempting to map **assets** in Endpoint Central MSP with **configurations** in ConnectWise using Service Tags of assets. The system checks for existing matches based on Service Tags. If a match is found, the Endpoint Central customer and the ConnectWise PSA company are linked. ### Fallback Mapping In cases where no Service Tag matches are found, the integration system employs a fallback mechanism. Assets and configurations are mapped using asset names as a secondary method for mapping. ## Inventory Scan for Asset Management Workflow An Inventory Scan is triggered from Endpoint Central to collect necessary information, which is then posted to ConnectWise. Asset data is extracted from the information gathered during the Inventory Scan. ## Frequency of Asset Data Posting Asset data is posted in the following scenarios: - During scheduled Inventory Scans, configured within the Endpoint Central MSP console. - In response to an on-demand scan operation. - When software is installed/uninstalled within the managed network. ## What asset data is synced?
