Growing together,
responsibly and sustainably

The pursuit of profit at the cost of social responsibility is neither
sustainable nor desirable. At ManageEngine, we believe that true growth
occurs only when our communities grow with us. That's why we've taken
efforts to minimize and offset our environmental impact and bring
opportunities and growth back to our local communities.

Ensuring
sustainable growth

ManageEngine and our parent company, Zoho Corporation, have committed to achieving net zero by 2050. We've leveraged cutting-edge technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) to help make this net-zero dream a reality.

Here are some of the steps we've taken to ensure a more sustainable future.

Improving energy efficiency

Improving energy efficiency

Reducing energy wastage and optimizing energy usage is a key part of being more sustainable.

We use IoT devices to measure and optimize energy consumption across our offices. We've also implemented LED lighting and energy-efficient equipment to reduce our energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

All our data is hosted in green data centers to maximize energy efficiency and minimize environmental impact. All purchased energy for our data centers is sourced from green energy providers.

Reducing carbon emissions

Reducing carbon emissions

We've built a five megawatt on-grid solar farm near the city of Trichy in India to offset the power consumption of our Indian headquarters and data centers.

We've also reduced greenhouse gas emissions within the office by switching to electric vehicles for transporting our employees and goods within the office campus. We've also cut down on business trips to further reduce our carbon footprint.

Improving water conservation

Improving water conservation

Water conservation is another key aspect of minimizing environmental impact.

We've implemented sensors to detect leaking faucets, rain-sensing sprinkler systems, and smart water management to minimize water usage and wastage.

We have an in-house sewage treatment plant to treat waste water, which is then used for flushing, gardening, or in cooling tanks.

Sustainable procurement and waste management

Sustainable procurement and waste management

Procurement and disposal of electronics is another key challenge for sustainability.

We actively source materials from suppliers that follow environment-friendly practices. Obsolete gadgets are sent to an e-waste recycling unit after being wiped securely.

We've also minimized our paper usage by opting for digital signing and storage for all our documents.

Committed to our communities

We've long believed that great talent can be found everywhere in the world, from big cities to small towns and villages. Unfortunately, unlike talent, great opportunities can't be found everywhere.

More often than not, greater opportunities are limited to big cities. This forces people in smaller towns to either move to already crowded, bigger cities or forego a chance at these jobs. We set out to change this.

We follow a philosophy of transnational localism, which aims to promote rural revival and sustainability by bringing opportunities and economic growth to smaller towns and villages.

It's this spirit of transnational localism that has driven us to open numerous spoke offices outside of major metropolitan areas. These offices are often located near smaller towns and villages, bringing higher paying jobs to these areas. This helps bring more opportunities to these areas, improve infrastructure, and boost the local economy.

A meaningful alternative to college education

A meaningful alternative to college education

Started in 2005, Zoho Schools of Learning offers a debt-free alternative for those who choose not to or are unable to pursue conventional college education.

Aimed at high school graduates and diploma holders, this initiative provides relevant, contextual education in software engineering, design, and business studies from industry experts.

On successful completion of their course, students from Zoho Schools are inducted into one of Zoho Corporations's many divisions, including ManageEngine, as full-time employees. Today, nearly 10% of our workforce comes from Zoho Schools.
