Notification
This section allows you to configure the type of notification that you would like to receive from the application when any backup operation is performed.
You can choose to be notified for all backup and restore operations, or operations that have failed, or get a consolidated notification mail at fixed intervals.
- Navigate to Admin tab → Notification.
- Click the Create New Notification button located at the top-right corner of the screen.
- Provide an identifiable name in the field provided.
- Select the operations for which you wish to be notified from the Operations field. You can switch between the AD, Azure AD, Exchange, and SharePoint fields to configure a notification profile for actions performed in the individual modules.
- In the AD module, select the domain and then the operations (Backup, Restore, Recycle, Rollback) for which you want to be notified. Select Include Attachment if you require a detailed report of all steps performed during any operation delivered in a PDF format to your mail address. If you want to store the generated PDFs in the local machine or in a shared path, select the appropriate option from the Attachment Storage Path field.
- In the Azure AD module, select the tenant and then the operations (Backup, Restore, Rollback) for which you want to be notified.
- In the Exchange module, select the Exchange organization or Exchange Online tenant and then the operations (Backup, Restore) for which you wish to be notified. Select Include Attachment if you require a detailed report of all steps performed during any operation delivered in a PDF format to your mail address. If you want to store the generated PDFs in the local machine or in a shared path, select the appropriate option from the Attachment Storage Path field.
- In the SharePoint module, select the tenant and then the operations (Backup, Restore) for which you want to be notified. Select Include Attachment if you require a detailed report of all steps performed during any operation delivered in a PDF format to your mail address. If you want to store the generated PDFs in the local machine or in a shared path, select the appropriate option from the Attachment Storage Path field.
- You can choose to be notified for all operations, or operations that have failed, or get a consolidated notification mail at fixed intervals. Pick an option depending on your choice:
- All operations carried out by the product.
- All operations that have failed.
- Scheduled notifications.
- Email notifications can be sent out to multiple mail addresses. Enter the email addresses to which the notification mail has to be sent and separate each email address by a comma (,).
Note: Mail addresses provided in this field will have a higher priority than the mail address provided in the Mail Server section.
- Click Save.
