Steps to configure SAML SSO for Evernote
About Evernote
Evernote is a versatile note-taking and task management application. It allows users to create, organize, and manage notes that can include text, images, audio recordings, and web content. The application is designed to help users archive information efficiently and is accessible across various platforms, including Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS.
The following steps will help you enable SSO for Evernote from Identity360.
Prerequisites
- The MFA and SSO license for Identity360 is required to enable SSO for enterprise applications.
- Log in to Identity360 as an Admin, Super Admin, or Technician with a role that has Application Integration and Single Sign-on permissions.
- Navigate to Applications > Application Integration > Create New Application and select Evernote from the applications displayed.
Note: You can also find Evernote from the search bar located at the top.
- Under the General Settings tab, enter the Application Name and Description.
- Under the Choose Capabilities section, select SSO and click Continue.

- Under Integration Settings, navigate to the Single Sign On tab, then click Metadata Details. Copy the Login URL and Signing Certificate values. These details will be used later during the configuration of Evernote.

Evernote (service provider) configuration steps
- Log in to Evernote as an administrator.
- Navigate to the admin console > Security > Single Sign-On.
- SSO is enabled by default.
- Paste the Login URL value copied in step 6 of prerequisites into the SAML HTTP Request URL field.
- Paste the Signing Certificate value copied in step 6 of prerequisites into the X.509 certificate field.
- Click Save & Enable.
Identity360 (identity provider) configuration steps
- Switch to Identity360's application configuration page.
- Enter the Relay State parameter, if necessary.
Note: Relay State is an optional parameter used with a SAML message to remember where you were or to direct you to a specific page after logging in.
- Click Save.

Your users will now be able to sign in to Evernote through the Identity360 portal.
Note: For Evernote, both SP-initiated and IdP-initiated flows are supported.
