# OpManager AssetExplorer Integration

OpManager integrates with AssetExplorer, an IT asset management (ITAM) platform to sync the monitored devices in OpManager to an asset inventory. With this integration, you will get automatic CI sync and asset management in AssetExplorer by eliminating the need to manually fetch the details of the devices discovered in OpManager and helps in maintaining an accurate and up-to-date inventory along with network monitoring.

## Configuration in AssetExplorer

To integrate AssetExplorer with OpManager, you need to generate Authtoken from AssetExplorer.

- Log in to your AssetExplorer account.
- Navigate to **User Profile** and click **Generate Authtoken.**

- In the Generate Authtoken dialog, choose an **expiration date** for the token or select **Never expires**, if preferred.

- Click **Generate** and once the Authtoken is generated, copy it.

## Configuration in OpManager

After generating the Authtoken, configure the AssetExplorer integration in OpManager.

- In OpManager, go to **Settings -> General Settings -> Integrations**.
- On the configuration page, provide the **Server IP/DNS Name** (the AssetExplorer url).
- Under **Technician Key**, paste the Authtoken generated in AssetExplorer.

- Under CMDB Settings, you can configure the required synchronization options:
  - Sync to AssetExplorer
  - Sync newly discovered devices in future
  - Delete CI in AssetExplorer when deleted in OpManager
  - Sync device relationships to AssetExplorer
- Under **Advanced Settings**, you can exclude categories that you do not want to sync with AssetExplorer.

- Once all the CMDB settings are configured, click **Save**.
- Click **Sync Now** to initiate the synchronization of all devices to AssetExplorer.

## AssetExplorer CMDB Reports

In OpManager, you can view the devices synced with AssetExplorer and their details in a report.

- Go to **Reports -> Audit -> AssetExplorer CMDB Reports**.
