ManageEngine® PAM360 Application Gateway Upgrade Pack Download

The latest PAM360 Application Gateway version is 5.1 (Build 5100). If you are using an earlier version, upgrade to the latest version to relish new benefits.

Follow the steps below to identify the deployed Application Gateway version:

  1. Log in to the PAM360 application with an administrator account.
  2. Navigate to Admin >> PAM360 Gateways >> Application Gateways.
  3. On the PAM360 Application Gateway page that appears, you can view the version number beside the deployed Application Gateways.

Upgrade Pack Instructions based on Operating Systems

1. Windows

Prerequisites

  1. Before proceeding with the upgrade pack, stop the ManageEngine PAM360 - ApplicationGateway service using any of the following methods:
    1. From the Tray icon - Click the Show Hidden Icons option on the bottom-right corner of the Taskbar, right-click on the Application Gateway tray icon, and select Stop Application Gateway from the displayed options.
    2. From the Services console - Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and click Ok. In the Services window, locate the service named ManageEngine PAM360 - ApplicationGateway and stop it.
  2. Take a complete backup of the
    <PAM360ApplicationGateway_Installation_Directory>, and store it securely. You can revert to this copy in case of an upgrade failure with your settings intact.

Steps to Apply the Upgrade Pack

  1. On the server where Application Gateway is deployed, launch Command Prompt with administrator privileges.
  2. Navigate to the <PAM360ApplicationGateway_Installation_Directory>/bin folder and execute the UpdateManager.bat command.
  3. In the Update Manager window that appears, click the Browse button, locate the .ppm file downloaded from the ManageEngine PAM360 Application Gateway Upgrade Pack section on your machine, and click Open.
  4. As part of patch integrity verification, a valid SSL certificate is required to complete the upgrade process. PAM360 Application Gateway will automatically import this certificate during the upgrade. If the automatic import does not occur, you will be prompted to upload the SSL certificate required for verification. Click here to download the SSL certificate.
  5. In the Import Certificate pop-up window that appears, click the Browse button, select the downloaded SSL certificate from your machine, and click Import.
    Note : It is essential to import the SSL certificate while upgrading the PAM360 Application Gateway server. However, this is a one-time operation, and you do not have to repeat the process during the next version upgrade.
  6. Now, click the Install button in the Update Manager window to begin the upgrade process.
  7. Once the upgrade process is complete, start the ManageEngine PAM360 - ApplicationGateway service from the tray icon or from the services console.
  8. To apply multiple upgrade packs, exit the Update Manager once the previous upgrade process is complete, start and stop the ManageEngine PAM360 - ApplicationGateway service, repeat steps 1 through 3 for each upgrade pack, and start the ManageEngine PAM360 - ApplicationGateway service.

2. Linux

Prerequisites

  1. Before proceeding with the upgrade pack, stop the ManageEngine PAM360 - ApplicationGateway service. Execute the following command to stop the ManageEngine PAM360 - ApplicationGateway service in a Linux machine
    systemctl stop pam360ApplicationGateway.service
  2. Take a complete backup of the <PAM360ApplicationGateway_Installation_Directory>, and store it securely. You can revert to this copy in case of an upgrade failure with your settings intact.

Steps to Apply the Upgrade Pack

  1. On the server where Application Gateway is deployed, navigate to the <PAM360ApplicationGateway_Installation_Directory>/bin folder using the Terminal.
  2. Execute the sh UpdateManager.sh -c command. This will run the Update Manager in CLI mode.
  3. Press i to install and supply the full path of the upgrade pack downloaded from the ManageEngine PAM360 Application Gateway Upgrade Pack section.
  4. As part of patch integrity verification, a valid SSL certificate is required to complete the upgrade process. PAM360 Application Gateway will automatically import this certificate during the upgrade. If the automatic import does not occur, you will be prompted to upload the SSL certificate required for verification. Click here to download the SSL certificate.
  5. Enter the SSL certificate's absolute path when prompted. Once the certificate is imported successfully, wait for the upgrade process to complete until the message "Service Pack applied successfully" is displayed.
  6. Once the upgrade process is complete, start the ManageEngine PAM360 - ApplicationGateway service.
  7. To apply multiple upgrade packs, exit the Update Manager once the previous upgrade process is complete, start and stop the ManageEngine PAM360 - ApplicationGateway service, repeat steps 1 through 3 for each upgrade pack, and start the ManageEngine PAM360 - ApplicationGateway service.

Note: It is essential to import the SSL certificate while upgrading the PAM360 Application Gateway server. However, this is a one-time operation, and you do not have to repeat the process during the next version upgrade.
