Type **services.msc** and stop **ManageEngine SecureAI**. ### Step 2: Stop the built-in PostgreSQL database If you are using the built-in PostgreSQL database, execute the `stopDB.bat` file in the `\bin` to stop the database. ### Step 3: Back up SecureAI When using the built-in PostgreSQL database: 1. Run the `initPgsql.bat` file located in `\bin` from the **Command Prompt** using the privileges of a domain or local admin account. **Requirements for running the initPgsql.bat file** - Ideally, the service account configured for SecureAI should be used for this. If the Command Prompt cannot be run with the service account credentials, use another account with administrative privileges to run it. In this case, you'll need to use this admin account to update SecureAI. - Ensure the `initPgsql.bat` file is not blocked from execution by the Active Directory Group Policy or antivirus software. 2. Run the `backupDB.bat` file located in `\bin` directory. 3. Back up SecureAI by zipping the contents of the `` directory. **Note:** - If Microsoft SQL Server is configured as the backend database for SecureAI, ensure that the SQL Server database is backed up separately. ### Step 4: Update SecureAI 1. Open the **Command Prompt** and execute the **UpdateManager.bat** file under the `\bin` directory. For Windows 7, Vista, 2008, and 2008 R2 machines with User Account Control enabled, select **Run as Administrator** while opening the **Command Prompt**. 2. Click **Browse** and select the service pack file that you have downloaded. 3. Click **Install**. Depending on the amount of data to be migrated, the installation procedure may take a few minutes. Please do not terminate this process prematurely. 4. Once the service pack is installed, click **Close** and then Exit to quit the Update Manager. ### Step 5: Start SecureAI 1. If the product runs as an application, click **Start** > **All Programs** > **SecureAI** > **Start SecureAI**. 2. If the product runs as a Windows service, click **Start** > **Run**. Type services.msc, and in the window that opens, **Start ManageEngine SecureAI**. **Note:** - If you are applying multiple service pack files consecutively, stop and start SecureAI after applying each service pack file before proceeding with the next installation.
