Steps to configure SAML SSO for Zenduty

About Zenduty

Zenduty is an incident management and response platform that helps engineering, IT, and DevOps teams detect, respond to, and resolve critical issues faster. It centralizes alerts, automates on-call rotations, and streamlines collaboration to reduce downtime.

The following steps will help you enable SSO for Zenduty from Identity360.

Prerequisites

  1. The MFA and SSO license for Identity360 is required to enable SSO for enterprise applications.
  2. Log in to Identity360 as an Admin, Super Admin, or Technician with a role that has Application Integration and Single Sign-on permissions.
  3. Navigate to Applications > Application Integration > Create New Application and select Zenduty from the applications displayed.
    Note: You can also find Zenduty using the search bar located at the top.
  4. Under General Settings, enter the Application Name and Description.
  5. Under Choose Capabilities, select Single Sign-on and click Continue.

  6. Under Integration Settings, navigate to the Single Sign On tab and click IdP Details. Copy the Login URL, Entity ID, and Signing Certificate values, which will be used during the configuration of Zenduty.

Zenduty (service provider) configuration steps

  1. Log in to Zenduty, the service provider (SP), with administrator credentials.
  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and copy the ACCOUNT DOMAIN value, which will be used during Identity360 configuration.
  3. Click Account.

  4. Click Single Sign-on.
  5. From the Select SSO Provider drop-down, select Generic SSO.
  6. In the SSO Provider URL field, paste the Login URL value copied in step 6 of the prerequisites.
  7. In the SAML Entity ID field, paste the Entity ID value copied in step 6 of the prerequisites.
  8. In the Certificate field, paste the Signing Certificate value copied in step 6 of the prerequisites.
  9. Toggle the Allow Email and Password login for users option on to enable users to log in with a password while performing SSO, according to your requirements.
  10. Click Save Configuration.

Identity360 (identity provider) configuration steps

  1. Switch to the application configuration page in Identity360, the identity provider (IdP).
  2. In the Relay State field, paste the ACCOUNT DOMAIN value copied in step 2 of the Zenduty configuration.
  3. Click Save.

Your users will now be able to sign in to Zenduty through the Identity360 portal.

Note: For Zenduty, both SP-initiated and IdP-initiated flows are supported.

Steps to enable MFA for Zenduty

Setting up MFA for Zenduty using Identity360 involves the following steps:

  1. Set up one or more authenticators for identity verification when users attempt to log in to Zenduty. Identity360 supports various authenticators, including Google Authenticator, Zoho OneAuth, and email-based verification codes. Click here for steps to set up the different authenticators.
  2. Integrate Zenduty with Identity360 by configuring SSO using the steps listed here.
  3. Now, activate MFA for Zenduty by following the steps mentioned here.
