# Safari could not install a profile due to an unknown error

## Problem

End user is trying to enroll an iOS device via invite and encounters the error message: "Safari could not install a profile due to an unknown error".

## Cause

This error typically occurs when **Stolen Device Protection** is enabled and the device is being enrolled from an **unknown location**. Apple prevents profile installation in such scenarios as a security measure.

## Resolution

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

1. During enrollment, a prompt will appear. Tap **Start Security Delay** and wait for 1 hour.
2. Once the delay period is over, initiate enrollment using the invite link.
3. The enrollment should proceed successfully.
