ANATEL and its significance
ANATEL is a regulatory body that oversees the telecommunications sector of Brazil. In its own words, the regulation is "aimed at the security of operations, in order to ensure that information systems are capable of withstanding events in cyberspace capable of compromising the availability, integrity, confidentiality and authenticity of stored, processed or transmitted data."
ANATEL aims to establish conduct and procedures for promoting security in telecommunications networks and services, including cybersecurity and the protection of critical telecommunications infrastructures.
